LOVE my toy
Hi, I am posting another pic of Brodie. He is now 2.5 years old!
My husband had always wanted a dachshund and an english bulldog. When I finally agreed to get a dog we got Bama our longhaired doxie first...i knew how expensive bulldogs were and was also a little apprehensive about getting one. I had heard all the horror stories about their health problems and how they drool and shed and things like that. And, to be honest I thought as pups that bulldogs were cute but as adults I called them "ugly"...yes I said it, ugly,
can you believe that? I can't even remember why I even thought that.
Well, finally we had a chance to get a bulldog and found a wonderful and reasonable breeder who had 7 males in the litter! When we arrived there was 6 of the pups left. They were ALL adorable. All the puppies were mostly white and some had a black patch on their eye or big spot on their back, etc...but Brodie was the only one w/the lil fawn screw tail and fawn area above his eye. We immediately thought he was special and the breeder said he was her favorite.
So, we played with them all and Brodie seemed TOO calm so we worried something could be wrong with him. SO, my husband pondered over it and had narrowed it down to Brodie and one other cutie pie...in the end we chose Brodie but were saddened as we walked away and looked back at those 5 other bully babies staring at us.
On the way home we knew we had made the right decision and as soon as we arrive he was the most playful pup ever! So, he must have been putting on a show by acting all calm at the breeder's house! He was FULL OUT and rarely slept like most puppies.
Brodie was hard to housetrain and is still stubborn about a lot of things..and yes he does shed and does drool at times and has had some other issues...but has grown into a wonderful adult dog. Brodie is the sweetest dog ever and never gets mad at anything. He doesn't have a care in the world and loves anyone and any animal.
He is so beautiful and loves attention and just has to give u sugars!
I will never regret getting my big bulldog baby.
